Sharing a few of this week’s highlights from our family trip to the Bahamas!  Just a few more days on this island and then we return home to packing and eating less seafood and more pb&j. I’ve tried to block the to-do lists out of my head and enjoy this week with Christian and his family, but I cannot help but be filled with excitement and anxiousness that our big move is only a week away.

Thank you again for all of your advice, generosity and encouragement regarding this big step – we honestly cannot wait!!  I hope y’all had some pooltime fun over the holiday weekend and have some summer beach plans of your own – XO –

  1. bah good luck! Enjoy your last days on the beach (so jelly). ps. your hubs is an awesome photog!

  2. I miss the Bahamas and the Caribbean. IT was a quick hop from Miami, where I grew up. Did your in laws rent a house ? If you happen to be on Nassau, there is this little hotel called COMPASS POINT which I worked for (well I worked in the corp office in Miami) and it’s just soo charming. You can go check it out and have some conch salad and some rum based drink 😉

    1. They did rent a house! Your Miami life sounds SO FUN – we are in Paradise Key – beautiful but pretty small. I hope by working at the corporate office you got to travel to the Bahamas often with work!

  3. You look like you are having so much fun!!! And you have inspired me to get a couple sarongs before my cruise in August! Maybe I can even wear them to the pool here when I take the future step-son.

  4. Looks like you are having an amazing time! Enjoy your last few days!

  5. I’m so jealous! I have always wanted to take a Caribbean vacation. I’m a beach dweller by heart 🙂 Try to have fun and get to the crazy stuff when you get home!

  6. Kat, this is not a comment, it is a question…..when are you all flying home and on what airline? I miss talking to you 🙁 We are in Oxford for the weekend so if you need me, call my cell.

Loved the sarong. I remember that well but did not remember that you got it in San Francisco! Maybe it was just meant to be that you moved to California. HOLY COW…..YOU ARE ABOUT TO MOVE TO CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!!

  7. You rock, girl! I share your feelings: We moved last summer from Finland to Germany, and that was a big change in life as well.

    1. Thanks so much Denise! I use a Canon Rebel T3 and occasionally use a 50mm lens that I bought separately. I LOVE my Canon and would highly recommend it! I think they’re very user-friendly. Hope this helps!
