Hey hey Friday!  This summer Friday is a little extra bright because my guy is back in town and we are heading to Catalina Island this afternoon.  We’ve had this little weekend trip on our bucket list since we first moved out here (along with being a guest at the Chelsea Lately show which definitely didn’t happen. #RIP.), and I know Christian is so excited to explore the island.  I think the ferry ride over will be fun but what’s not fun is the limited luggage requirements. Oy vey.

On another note, I’ve never really been into Snapchat or Vine, but once I had to learn more about it for my day job, I signed up and have been Snapchattin’ under the name CBLied.  I do dig sharing the ridiculous snippets of day to day – Christian lecturing me for buying things I don’t need and Bailey sprinting down the hall at work like a maniac – but I also feel it encourages me to be on my phone nonstop, and that’s the last thing I need to introduce in my life.  I already feel glued to my phone enough, you know!?  How do you guys feel about Snapchat? I’d love to hear.

Thanks so much for reading – y’all have a beautiful weekend! XO –

  1. I personally don’t care either way about SnapChat. I have it, but I may check it twice a day. I like the camera part of it (I take better selfies on it instead of my regular camera) but to have it as a social media outlet? It isn’t really top on my priority list.

I really love your snaps/stories so I hope you don’t get rid of yours. Just maybe limit it to 3 or 4 times a day (if you want t0). Another thing that helps: move it to a different page of your Iphone screen. That way, it isn’t always staring at you when you “slide to unlock.”

I hope you continue to grace us with your ridiculousness.

    1. That’s a really good point. And I love how selfies are a priority. 🙂 Totally agree with moving it to another screen! Thanks for your feedback – it’s really good to hear! XOXO

  2. I enjoy seeing everyone’s snap chat stories!! I will admit I get embarrassed at work when I forget the volume is turned up!! (I have to be more careful) I look at it like CBLied gets its own little mini series!! *Real Blogger Life of CBL!

    1. Now you KNOW I’ve always wanted to be in reality TV… so you’re basically making me love Snapchat right now. Thanks so much for your feedback!

  3. I hope you guys have a wonderful time in Catalina! I love that little island, it kind of reminds me of Greece. SnapChat is fun but it does make you use your phone more than normal haha.

  4. No snapchat for moi….but who knows, maybe I’ll cave. But can you tell me, why do people have *both* instagram and snapchat…? What’s the difference btwn them…?

  5. I love your snaps! They’re such a sweet look into the beauty of your everyday life, and always make me giggle! You are so personable and silly; your snaps make it feel like we are good friends! I do agree that Snapchat definitely makes me look at my phone much more, but I’m a fan! I love using it to connect with my friends and stay caught up on the small details of their lives. Keep ’em coming!

    1. Aw Stephanie that is the nicest comment ever – thank you so much for your kindness, honestly. And girlfriend, anyone who takes the time to read this blog is DEFINITELY my friend. We are friends!! XOXO
