black pleated maxi skirt

If you guys follow along on Instagram or Snapchat (CBLied), you may have seen that we had a little “staycation” recently in Laguna Beach at the Pacific Edge Hotel.  It was so convenient, so beautiful, so fun and left me thinking… why on earth don’t we do this more?  I plan to share a lot more next week in a full post, but I am on full staycation mode and am going to be hunting some more gems in Orange County!

This outfit – I mean, you guys know my love affair with maxi’s of any kind.  A maxi dress or skirt on the beach is always a good idea, and I wore this little outfit before we had dinner on the beach. This “top” is actually a bodycon dress that I wore underneath this flowy skirt, and I’m already thinking of other ways to wear the skirt – leather jacket and booties, chambray and wedges, crop top and sandals…

Thanks so much for reading! Have you ever had a little vacation in your own city? I’d love to hear about it – I now think staycations are so underrated! XO –

  1. Great look – love the maxi! I have always wanted to do a “staycation,” but because we have so many limited weekends at home – it’s hard for me to leave the house during one of our weekends home…even to go to a local place. However, I’ve heard they are always great and really make you slow down and relax – more than you would at home because there are usually chores and projects to do around the house! Thanks for sharing. XO -Anna

    1. You’re exactly right! We are the same way but honestly – I found a staycation more relaxing than a vacation. It totally changed my perspective! And there are so many fab paces in Nashville!

  2. I love your affordable fashion! Your entire outfit is basically under $100 and I think that’s great for working women. My blog is also extremely affordable! I’ll be checking out Windsor for my next shopping trip 🙂

Thanks for sharing & check out my affordable fashion blog when you get a chance!

    XO,
