Friday’s Five: Kauai

We are having so much fun in Hawaii, and I’ve been sharing moments here and there on Snapchat (CBLied) as well as Instagram! Excited to share a full Kauai post sharing photos, our stay at Ko’a Kea and our recommendations for anyone looking to make the trip. Several posts coming soon!

We are enjoying our last few days here, and I’m soaking up every second of Christian’s time off work before he gets back to the grind of long days and nights. We’re feeling really lucky to be able to share this time together, and thank you guys SO much for all of your awesome tips during our time here. You rock.

Kauai is one of my husband and my favorite places, I’m kinda a big jealous right now 😉 Looks like you’re having a fabulous trip! Thank you for sharing!! (btw, Koloa Fish Market does have good poke, but of all places the Kauai Costco has great poke!)

I don’t know if ever “officially” shared the dining room before we moved in January and the wallpaper inquiries keep-a-comin’ so I wanted to share it here!

We had already moved the art over the buffet at this point but this was the best I could do on the countdown of time we had left. 🫠

Wallpapering our dining room in the new house this month with something a little more simple, and I can’t wait. Still absolutely LOVE how this turned out. What a weekend! 🐇🐰🐣✝️ There were emotional and mental highs and lows, but somehow throughout the candy chaos we kept the focus on Jesus. The sadness of His death, the joy of his risen life, the beauty of our faith and our choice to follow Him.

We had the party invitation weeks in advance. It was taped up by the pantry: “black and white cocktail attire.”

He got dressed 10 minutes before we left and asked if he looked ok, I was too self-involved in putting on lipstick to use my brain and I told him he looked great(!!).

My phone randomly presented a little slideshow this morning of 2017 and wow… the joy these memories brought me. 💕

Genuinely love my slower paced life with littles now but man, we did some livin’. My 20’s were so adventure-filled and now that I have different responsibilities, I’m so grateful I did the damn thing while life was so much simpler.

Around this age I asked Helena of @brooklynblonde1 if she ever wished she had had children earlier and she said, “no, never.” It was such wonderful advice for me and so I want to say the same to my younger girlies. I had my first child at 32 and have no regrets whatsoever. Enjoy your freedom! 🥰💋
