When I shared this office style post last month, I loved hearing your feedback on putting together more office-appropriate looks. I worked in a corporate office for five years, so trust me – I feel you on creating outfits that capture your personal style and align with HR’s dress code.

If your office has a casual Friday or allows denim, I think this look would be great. Otherwise, you could trade out the denim for a pair of black skinny pants (these were my favorite and they’re on sale for $40 – I think I had four pairs!).

I also have at least five crisp white button-front shirts. They go with everything, and this one is definitely the most fabulous one that I own. I think it would look so chic with a pair of leather pants or a leather skirt. Ooh la la!

  1. Yes, please more office looks! My office is business casual, so I actually love dressing up for work… Hence finding your blog looking for style inspiration!

  2. Gorgeous! Yes I would love to see more office looks! I work at a corporate office in Uptown Charlotte but it’s manufacturing so I work with mostly men…our attire is business casual with jeans on Friday but I always try to dress up during the week for fun!

    Great post and great outfit!

  3. I work in a law office and would love more office style posts! I just graduated law school so the majority of my closet is now weekend only attire, whereas my work clothes are the minority but pieces I’d never wear otherwise. My new rule is to only buy work clothes that I would wear after work/on the weekends as well – but that’s sometimes easier in theory!

    1. First of all – congrats to you! And YES – I think your new rule is perfect. Even if it’s a great black blazer or a pair of skinny slacks – these are pieces you can reshift for the weekend!

  4. More business casual looks, please! Love these posts. Also, how about a post on the different ways you can style a white button-down? 🙂

    1. I think I’ve been wearing heels so long that I don’t think twice about it! Sadly I don’t have a secret!

  5. Yes to more office work wear posts! This pants from Gap look great, I’ll have to check them out!
