styling a crop top tee

I hinted to these on Instagram here and here, but I have officially found (what I think) is the best dupe for the Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots!  I have the Lowland (styled here) and the Highstreet  boots (before the heel changed, styled here), both in black.  The black was worth the investment to me, but I was on the hunt for a similar pair in grey but without the price tag.  When I spotted this pair, I had to buy them to see the comparison for myself.

I actually bought this heeled pair in grey and the flat pair in taupe. They’re under $100, the material is nearly identical, the stay up exactly the same (I think the shaft is actually a little taller).  I do think the actual Stuart Weitzman’s are more comfortable… but I suppose you get what you pay for!

SO if you are in love with the style and want to try a lower price point before taking the plunge, I really think this is your pair!

boots in grey | tee – Forever21 (old) love this one and this one | skirt – River Island (old), love this one and this one | similar jacket here and here | bag, love it so much I bought it in beige too | similar earrings (on sale) & cuff (on sale) | cross ring | knuckle ring | sunglasses

There are definitely a lot of similar styles out there, and I also bought these and styled them in this post, but they’re not nearly as comfortable in my opinion.

Thanks so much for reading! I’d love to hear what you think – or if you’ve found a better dupe! XO –

  1. This is perfect… I love grey and white so much! I’ve been apprehensive over buying otk boots because I’ve seen a couple of people in person wearing them and… Whoa haha…. Did not work out for them!
But, you’re changing my mind! Hope the style doesn’t go out before I have the chance to find some. ?

  2. I really love how these Stuart Weitzman style boots look with skirts and dresses, but I can’t seem to get on board with wearing them over pants so I feel like if I can’t wear them with everything, then I can’t justify the splurge. I know you live somewhere a little warmer and you seem to wear yours a lot, but do you think they’re worth the investment if you live somewhere colder? Or would you recommend just for fall and early/late winter and a more sturdy pair for the colder temps?

P.S. Love all your arm candy! The bracelet and double-finger ring are incredible!

    1. Very good question! I have worn these all over NYC multiple times (and Paris recently!), so I think they’re great for all temps. I invested in two pair of SW boots and have never regretted it, but it sounds like you might be better off trying a less expensive version like these first. If you love them, save up for the real deal!

  3. Random question but how tall are you? I am pretty short and so often have a hard time with the boot going up to my stomach sometimes! I had a pair of the Stuart lowland boots, but sadly they went missing during my move and I just can’t stomach buying them again 🙁 so I am in desperate need of a good dupe!

    1. I’m 5’7″, and don’t worry, it’s not that random. I get asked pretty frequently so it’s in my FAQ page!

  4. Love! Just bought the flat pair in grey and cannot wait for them to arrive. Love the mix of casual and upscale too.

  5. This look is so gooood, Kathleen! Thanks for sharing these amazing dupes! I’ve been dying to get my hands on a pair of the lowlands but the price tag was bit intimidating. You rock sista, cannot wait to order these!!

  6. I have these boots in the maroon/wine color! I covet SW boots buuuuut don’t allow myself to do down that path. These boots feel/look great and I get a ton of compliments when I wear them. I love the gray pair and those are on my radar.

    1. Ohhh I need to check out the burgundy pair – thanks for letting me know they’re fab in person too!

  7. Oh my gosh YES, these are the brand that I have and they are FANTASTIC! Literally get people all the time asking if they are SW and when I tell them they are from Amazon they are blown away. I’ve had tons of people get them based on my recommendation and everyone comes back so thankful because they are legit. I have both black and grey flat and have had them 2-3 years and they’re still in perfect condition even though I wear them all the time.

Love how you styled them here! The tee shirt is the perfect offset to the sassy boots.

  8. Thank you for showing us a more affordable price. I mean I love Stuart too, but its nice to be able to have options that are more realistic!

  9. Love how you’ve styled these grey boots and I’m definitely going to get myself a pair. I collect Louboutins, but find that sometimes I need less expensive options for all of the walking I do in NYC and especially when out with my kids. I’m always explaining to my shoe repairman how my baby spit up on yet another pair of expensive suede boots! This season I’ve been obsessed with the “Breley” OTK boot by Marc Fisher. I have the caramel color and they are made from some of the most beautiful suede I’ve ever seen. They are on sale at Marc Fisher http://www.marcfisherfootwear.com/breley-over-the-knee-dress-boot-2. I went half a size up for a perfect fit.

  10. Do you find that these ones stay up and don’t fall down? Other dupes seem to fall down was wondering if these fit more like the Stuart ones

    1. These fit pretty similarly to my SW pair. I think a lot of the “staying up” part has to do with each individuals legs!
