saguaro palm springs

I’ve been so excited to share some of the photos our long weekend in Palm Springs!  I never spent that much time in the desert, usually we kind of breeze in and out for the weekend.  On this trip we were there for four nights and five days, and I actually feel like I know a lot more about the city.

Plus we stopped to see the Cabazon Dinosaurs, admire the windmills, walk around Downtown Palm Springs and find all the old Hollywood stars on the walk of fame, eat the most amazing sandwiches ever (seriously – if you visit PS you must stop here for lunch!) and snag C some clothes and the fanciest outlet I’ve ever been to.

But one of the highlights was visiting The Saguaro Palm Springs for the first time. I had seen countless photos on social media, but it really was even more adorable and kitschy in person.  Every corner is something unique and fun, and it might just be one of the most cheerful hotels I’ve ever been to. But of course, every hotel in Palm Springs seems to be over-the-top adorable. It’s part of the city’s charm!

As for the “mom jean” trend, I caved and after much research bought this pair.  When I think “mom jean,” I always think of this hysterical SNL skit, but after seeing how amazing Levi’s looked on so many girls… I went for it! I’ve really loved these cutoffs, and these jeans did not disappoint. Keep in mind they are 100% cotton which is pretty rare these days, so they don’t fit like your stretchy skinnies!  Now would be a great time to shop some mom jeans if you’re feelin’ them because you can get a major discount!

Who else is ready for summer!? Gimme some sunshine! You can still save up to 30% on nearly everything in Shopbop‘s sale this week. My picks are here!  Thanks so much for reading! XO –

  1. I love how mom jeans look on other girls, and they look amazing on you, but I’ve never tried any myself because I’m scared they might make me look shorter because my legs are a bit big already and a slouchy fit like that, I don’t know… Is there any way of styling them and not make me look shorter without having to wear heels?

    1. I think looser fitting pants always look best with heels but I’ve definitely also worn these with flats. It’s certainly a different fit, and while at first I wasn’t so sure, after some time it really grew on me!

  2. Mom jeans are the cure for the “soft serve” or “muffin top” problem!
haha… you look awesome… and I totally need these jeans.

  3. I LOVE these photos! So fun, and colorful, and YOU.

These mom jeans really do look phenomenal on you! I actually just got these in the mail the other day from Shopbop (after chatting with you on Instagram and seeing a couple of your posts) and they work for me too – yay! I’ve been looking for so long. I’m glad I ordered two sizes though because I needed the bigger of the two due to no stretchiness!

    1. Are you the sweetest or what!? I’m so glad you got them and love them too!! I had to size up, that all cotton is no joke!

  4. Mmmmmmkay you are PERFECT, lol. But seriously though, this outfit is so effortless and giving off major cool girl vibes, like the kind of cool I immediately want to be friends with. Funny story, I lived in Palm Springs for 2 years and never went inside the Saguaro…. laaaaaame. These were before my blogging days, things would obviously be different now! Haha. Much love girl!
