I mentioned recently here that I finally visited the Carlsbad Flower Fields for the first time, and WOW. We were completely blown away!

I knew it would be beautiful but I didn’t prepare my mind for the miles of flowers that would be waiting for us. It was truly a spectacular site to be seen.  I wanted to pluck a flower behind my ear and run through these rows and rows of beautiful blooms!

It was such a beautiful, sunny day when we visited. Honestly I didn’t plan on taking that many photos but it was too special not to, so I tried my best!

Have you ever visited the Carlsbad Flower Fields? I’d love to hear if you were as overwhelmed as I was!

On a similar note the tulip fields in Holland always look SO incredible.

Thanks so much for reading – XO –

  1. This is so dreamy! Definitely need to visit this flower field. Doesn’t seem real!

  2. So so so so pretty! I would love to visit some time because that just looks like happiness in a field!

If you’re not able to go all the way to Holland overseas (haha a girl can dream though, right?!), there is actually a town called Holland in Michigan, it’s right on the west coast on Lake Michigan, and the town has a huge Dutch population and every Spring they have a festival called Tulip Time and they have a carnival, food trucks, Dutch dancers, and tons and tons of massive tulip farms! When my husband was at Notre Dame we went up there one weekend and it was AMAZING. Plus the town is just super cute and the surrounding beach towns are all adorable as well. It’s less than an hour from the Grand Rapids airport so super easy. You might put it on your bucket list 😉

  3. Kathleen,

Loving the photos from the Carlsbad Flower Fields. Keep ’em coming! And those sandals are to die for. They look so comfortable and chic!

Since you are crushing on the tulip fields in Holland, did you know there are acres of tulip and daffodil fields just north of Seattle in Skagit Valley? They are in bloom right now and us locals look forward to the photo ops they provide every year!
