visiting napa in the fall

– visiting Napa in November and the beauty of these golden vines! –

Happy weekend, gorgeous gals!  This week is a little extra fun because tomorrow marks six years of marriage to Christian.  You can see some of our fall wedding here!  We’ve been together 11 years, and honestly I don’t even know where to begin.  I can’t imagine my life, my business, the happiest and saddest moments, without him.  He is so steady, so supportive, understanding and patient… the ying to my yang. There’s no one I’d rather travel, laugh, love and live my life with. He’s the best!

We are postponing celebrating with a weekend away next weekend, but for now we’ll hang in the city and enjoy this fall weather.  Speaking of fall gorgeousness, talk about Napa in November! We took a day trip with Christian’s little brother and it was my first time visiting this time of year. WOW. The vines were all this gorgeous shade of gold, it was breathtaking. Now I get why everyone says to visit in the fall!!

We also made some reservations for Thanksgiving dinners in the city. It will be the second time in my life I’m visiting a restaurant for the holiday meal (the first time in NYC in high school with my family), and honestly… I’m not mad at it. A lazy year in the kitchen!

What do you have going on this weekend? Have you ever visited wine country in November? I want to hear about it! Thanks so much for reading and sharing – XO –

  1. Hi! Where do u recommend for thanksgiving dinner? I will be in town for vacation with my family during thanksgiving!

  2. Oh I like those pumps. After you’ve had a chance to wear them a few times, it would be great if you could let us know whether they are comfortable so I know whether it is worth the splurge! 🙂

Btw – I love your posts. You do a phenomenal job and I hope you’re enjoying the Bay Area. I’ve been here 14 years and there are still things to discover. You should check out Filoli if you’re looking for some visual inspiration. They have amazing gardens and flowers in the spring.

  3. We have started a tradition of a mini family vacay before the Christmas rush…. and went to Sonoma last year. It was after the fire and the beautiful wine-making families were so happy to see visitors! Love the wine country and the generations of families who are stewarding the land. This year we’re headed to Los Cabos…..thanks to Devon and John and their credit card points. 😉

  4. Happy Anniversary!!!! You two are honestly my favorite to follow on Insta stories – I love how you two play off one another and know exactly how to push the other’s buttons. It’s so hilarious.

So glad you got a chance to visit wine country in the Fall. I went back for a best friend’s wedding a few weekends ago and was astounded how stunning it was. I realized I hadn’t been home in the Fall since I was in high school since I never went home for Fall break or Thanksgiving. I don’t ever remember it being so breathtaking but I’m sure it was and I totally overlooked it. The perfect temp, sun shining, and vines of green yellow and reds! Words cannot describe, it’s just one of those sights you see and you know God is good.

  5. Great post!

Love those pumps! I agree w/Carolyn, after you’ve worn them a bit please post about how you’ve liked/or not them. I also have some trouble wearing pumps. (I’ve even had a great toe joint replacement. Best thing I’ve done for myself. )

I love following my fellow southern belle.
