One of the greatest gifts my parents have ever given me is a brother and sister close in age. We have seen each other through it all and we’ve been the security blankets that are unspoken. The loyalty and silent reassurance is a gift upon gifts.

I sure hope these three will feel the same as they grow up together. Grateful to my body for carrying this caboose for all of 2024. 🫠 And a thank you to @drchristianhbarnes who isn’t in these photos because he took them! 🙃🎀 See ya soon, Lady Barnes.

🎾 So far we have repainted the fence, lights and resurfaced the court. Freshening up the basketball backboard and landscaping will come, but I can’t wait for some cooler temperatures to get out here more.

Really hoping to make lots of memories with our kids and friends. Tennis lessons are definitely in my future. I’ve now played pickleball a total of maybe 5x in my life. So we can only go up from here, right?

PS - for context, this was already the backyard when we moved here in January. So we might as well give it a whirl.

Lucky for Christian and me, raising these kids is like constantly living on the edge. 😜🙃🩵🩵 Today in church I heard the quote “vacations with kids isn’t a vacation, it’s just an away game.” Away game - SO good! Really looking forward to being able to be more active with them soon.

Getting to the end of this pregnancy and really starting to get so excited to meet this little person. Our final puzzle piece we have been waiting for. Hudson tells us he wants “four more babies,” but… that ain’t happenin.’ 🫠🤍

This is our third visit to HHI, and each summer Hudson’s favorite part of the trip is the sail or boat ride (this year crabbing was also added to the top of the list 🦀). We took a little cruise to Shark Tooth Island with @outside.experiences and Captain Dean (who was awesome, SO kind and patient) and it was one for the books.

Dolphins, shark teeth, sunsets and a little island history along the way. Ended the night with @slapfish and a late bedtime.

A sweet memory to wrap up summer 2024. 💛
