It’s probably been years (or maybe never?) since I properly introduced myself here, so here’s a little bit of what you’ll see on this page if you are considering hopping on the ride. 🙃

The content here is a mix of style, home decor, travel, food, humor and attainable luxury in an approachable, realistic way. We’re all friends, right?

I’m Kathleen or Kat. I answer to either, no preference. Born in Nashville, raised in Mississippi (went to Ole Miss #HottyToddy), lived in Orange County and San Francisco, California until we moved to Georgia a few years ago. My husband (and college sweetheart) is @drchristianbrarnes and we have two sugar and spice-filled kids.

Prior to my website and social media life, I worked for Southern Living Magazine, BankPlus and Urban Decay Cosmetics HQ. Those were some of the BEST jobs and I’m so grateful for the many incredible women that I learned so, so much from.

Now I am a content creator and mom in Georgia, and I’m extremely grateful for this community that has provided me with a job (thank you!), friendships and endless creativity and fun. I hope you’ll stick around. Let’s kiki! 💃🏻🍸

A little recap of one of my favorite weeks of the year. ☺️ When I was a kid, we went to the Florida panhandle every single summer, sometimes twice a summer. I created so many core, beautiful, magical memories going to the same spots each year with my family. Because of that, it’s important to me to give that same nostalgia to my boys, and I think we have found our family summer spot. HHI, you were a dream. Until next year… 💙🌊🌴.

We rent in the Sea Pines neighborhood via @vrbo.

We rent bikes and bike accessories on the island from HHI Rentals for convenience. They even drop off and pick up at your house! 🙌🏼

We sailed with @cheerscharters.

Our beach picnic was from @boardandbaskethhi.

We loved the Sandbox Children’s Museum.

Also loved the Harbour Town playground + the Adventure playgrounds.

I was not surprised to see that we were not the only crew with a @shibumishade in Hilton Head, and now I can see why. It packs up so small, weighs less than 4 lbs, and takes less than 3 minutes to assemble... making life a LOT EASIER. 😅👏🏼 Tell me if you’ve tried it! // #shibumipartner #hhi #hiltonhead

I need another moment for this vest top that is just right. Believe it or not, I took this photo with a tripod while Barnez manhandled them kids. Despite waves, wind and Christian holding his breath... my phone did not fly off the boat. This time (the airpod and diamond earring did sink to the bottom of the pool but both appear to be in excellent condition to my shock!). 😉🌊🤞🏼⛵️
