It has been so much fun photographing our home during the holiday season! I don’t take photos with my big fancy camera as often now that video content is queen, and I forget how much fun it can be. Last year I skipped taking photos and sending holiday cards because our impending move made the season little too hectic.
This year I knew I wanted to capture our first Christmas in this house. I didn’t go all out, knowing I have less time on my hands right now working from home with a three-month-old. But I still pulled out the essentials, and it feels really special and cozy.
A few photos from the holidays in our previous home…

I heard someone ask once what their Christmas decor “theme” was. They said that most people pick a theme – snowmen, grinch, nativity, nutcrackers, Santa, candy canes, etc. Ours is definitely nativity and nutcrackers. Hudson, Christian, and I love The Nutcracker music and book. It wouldn’t feel like the season without these pieces!
One year we went somewhere tropical during Christmas and while beautiful, I really felt like I missed out on the traditional holiday season. I realized that I liked to be home in December. Hudson has really loved decorating with me this year. He loves the ornaments, the music, the trees, the stockings, Jerry the elf on the shelf… he has so much enthusiasm which is such a treat. Love that kid.
Merry Christmas season to you and yours. I hope you get lots of time logged by the sparkling tree in fuzzy socks sipping coffee. Thank you so much for reading – xo –
Love! Where did you get the wooden piece that goes around the nativity? It adds so much!
found it at a holiday market!
Beautiful and Southern Classy! Where did you find the snow globe?
It was a gift from Gangy!
Beautiful!! I love that your decor centers around your love of The Nativity—the reason for the season! Merry Christmas!
We love our nativities and nutcrackers – thank you so much for noticing!
