It’s been a minute since we have had a Friday’s Five and this felt like a great time to start back. I took the majority of January off because I knew the move was going to be demanding of my time and wow, thank God I did. I got super sick and it made everything a bit more challenging than I expected.
But now that it’s February, I’ve been able to return to working and getting back in the swing of my normal routine, which has been so wonderful. While I’m still battling some symptoms (the month-long cold that won’t seem to go away), I still feel much more like myself than I have in quite a while.
- Feud: Capote vs. The Swans. I can’t get enough of this show. I loved the first season of Feud: Bette and Joan. Ryan Murphy is so brilliant and just like Bette and Joan, I find myself googling and reading all of these articles about these New York socialite women, Truman Capote, and the scandals that made this story so fascinating. Highly recommend!
- Presidents Day Sales. I am anticipating some good sales on Monday, and I’ll be using the day to both entertain my kids while seeing if a few home items we need/want are marked down.
- I got this ivory belted jacket, and I can’t express how beautiful it is on. It is seriously so chic. I’ve only gotten to wear it once so far this winter, but I’m looking forward to wearing it again because it’s so gorgeous. It’s an investment, but it’s on sale right now!
- I saw this quinoa salad come across my Instagram, and I realized I had most of the ingredients. I want to make it this weekend!
- I stumbled across a movie on Amazon Prime starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus called You Hurt My Feelings. We watched it and were laughing several times throughout. The character Michaela Watkins plays (the sister) is hilarious. Definitely worth a watch!
We are planning on a long weekend of family time, popcorn movie nights, and getting a wallpaper quote (yay!). And of course, shopping those President’s Day sales, hunny. Thank you so much for checking in and I hope everyone has a great weekend! xo –
I am so excited about the scarf frame! I have been needing to frame a stunning blanket for our daughter and didn’t know what I wanted until I saw this. Thank you!!!!
