I have loved maxi dresses for years.  I think they’re comfortable, flattering and usually make an effortless statement all on their own – all while still allowing you to sit indian-style in a chair should you desire (bonus!).  I have mentioned this particular maxi dress that I purchased for my honeymoon here, here and here, and this was the first time I wore it since our honeymoon.

There are so many ways to style them – heels, flats, a chambray shirt, jacket, hat, vest, the list goes on!  I shared how to wear the same maxi four ways here and here – I think they’re so versatile.  This eBay shop is a favorite of mine to search for jersey dresses.

eBay maxi, love this one and this one / BaubleBar monogram necklace / etsy coral necklace / Calvin Klein heels / boutique clutch / Danielle Stevens engraved bangles / Tory Burch cuff, similar here

Thank you so much for reading! XO –

  1. Very cute!! I love an open back….I think it is so daring and sexy to show a bit of skin in a strong area. It doesn’t always have to be cleavage and legs!

  2. I’m usually not much for red, but that is a gorgeous shade. I’ve recently ordered a couple maxis but can’t decide if they are something I can wear to work or not. What’s your thought on jersey style maxis for the office? Too casual?

    1. Thank you Ang! I think that depends on your work atmosphere. I work in a marketing department with a lot of young people so my workplace dress code certainly allows maxi dresses. I think a blazer or duster cardigan could dress up a maxi in the workplace.

      Hope this helps!

  3. Love that color on you!!! Just wondering if you have ever shortened a dress like this? I am so short 5’2 and these never work for me 🙁

    1. I actually haven’t shortened a maxi dress before but I would imagine this dress to look great in a shorter length – have you tried wearing some stacked wedges and hemming the length? I still love a petite girl in a maxi! XO-

  4. Ok, so I don’t understand why this ebay seller has some dress for under $20 and others for $500. Same fabric.
    What’s up with that?
