This week has felt like a long one and I’m so happy to welcome Friday!  I’m looking forward to getting organized this weekend and spending some cuddle-sofa-cuddle-blanket-wine time with my two and four-legged family.I want to take a minute to apologize to any readers who had problems visiting CBL on Wednesday morning.  I had an advertisement on the site that had suspected improper coding and was warning those on certain browsers that the CBL possibly had malicious software.  This advertisement has since been removed and the brains at Google has confirmed that CBL is free of any virus-related activity!  Thank you to those of you who reached out to make sure I was aware of this problem and for being patient for those hours until everything was fixed!  Y’all are the best.

What are you doing this weekend?  Eating donuts in bed like me?  That sounds really bad doesn’t it…maybe I’ll throw some hiking and pilates in there.  Maybe.

Y’all have a beautiful weekend and thank you so much for reading! XO –

  1. Hey Girl! I’ve tried the sock curls and it does work. I have very silky hair that never holds curls…even with tons of product my hair will be straight in 3 hours. This trick still didn’t work ALL day for me, but it lasted the longest of anything else i’ve tried ;-).

    1. Thank you so much for sharing!! I have silky, fine hair as well, so I might have to give this tutorial a whirl. XO –

  2. I also love the Ole Miss girl video. She is most definitely entertaining and I think that our lawyer friend Katie should play her in the movie. Katie has the sass, the attitude and the voice inflection – could be Oscar worthy! Hotty Toddy!

  3. That breakfast looks so good! I have tried the sock bun method. You just have to wrap your hair perfectly around it or else the curls aren’t that great. At least that’s how it was for me. Now I just buy one of those spongy buns and wrap my hair around that instead of the sock. Makes a perfect bun! 🙂

  4. I have tried that method and I think that my hair holds curl TOO well. It definitely gave me curls, but not the mermaid curls I was after. More like the hot rollers curl from the 90’s – ha! And too much frizz! I think that if your hair doesn’t hold curl super well it might work better. 🙂

    1. You know, I tried those purple things that are supposed to be “heatless” ways to curl your hair while you sleep and I got the same thing – Curly Sue!!! Not a great look on me. Than you for sharing your experience!! xo –

  5. OMG that video of the Ole Miss girl had me crying laughing hahaha! A lot of my family went to Ole Miss, so I showed my cousin that video- he replied “there have been plenty of times when the only solution to Ole Miss football is vodka.” Is there anything better than SEC football?

  6. I’ve been trying not to heat style much so I’ve just letting my hair air dry and fluffing it every so often, then throwing it up in a sloppy pony/high bun with one of the fabric elastic hair ties gives me loose, beachy waves when I take it down the next morning. I have straight, fine, long hair that holds curls decently if I wrap outside a curling iron and use a ton of products. I’m not coordinated enough to do a sock bun, haha
