When December rolls around, there’s one beauty item that is a necessity – the perfect red lip.  I have been swearing by Urban Decay lipsticks for years, but their most recent matte collection is hands down, the answer to my lipstick prayers.  All three of their lipstick collections – Revolution, Sheer and Matte – are available at Nordstrom in so many different shades, a girl can never have enough.

I’m wearing Bad Blood here, but other matte lip favorites are After Dark and Tilt.  When rocking a red lip, I usually pair it with a neutral eye using my Naked Basics2 palette and amp up my lashes with Subversion lash primer and Big Fatty mascara.  The other go-to beauty look would be a soft smoky eye using the Smokey Palette and what my makeup artist friend calls “the brown girl nude lip,” Revolution Lipstick in Liar.
