Hey Friday – I come to you by way of watching The Voice blind auditions. I’ve never really watched more than bits and pieces of this show, but it’s so exciting! I literally have butterflies the entire time, wanting each contestant to get the feedback and opportunity I know they’ve dreamt of their whole life.  I think I’m getting too emotionally invested over here.

Also – I want Alicia Keys to be my life mentor. She is so infectious and something about her energy – she is so inspirational to me! I think this is my favorite song of hers, I used to sing this song in my car hard.

SO, let’s talk about the weekend, shall we? Christian and I have plans to go to the desert for a little getaway at the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage, and we’ve been looking forward to it for weeks. His stress levels have been a little higher than usual lately, so I think he really needs some time to unwind.

This week I worked on a few fun projects I’m really excited to share! A Halloween makeup video tutorial with Urban Decay, I shot some blog posts for some fun fall collaborations and I got a vamped-up mane thanks to my friends at DKWStyling! All to come on CBL. Thank you guys for supporting this little space that makes these kinds of projects possible!

AND, because you guys know I’m a lover of all things TV (I’m not bragging about this… I recognize loving television is not the coolest hobby… but I am who I am), I’m STOKED fall shows are back. I think I’m going to add This Is Us to my arsenal of shows because it looks like a good one.  What shows are you excited to welcome back?

  1. OK, wait a second… You haven’t watched The Voice!?!? Omg I love it so much! It’s so funny and such a great show! Glad you’re watching it.
    TV is one of my hobbies too lol… It always has been and I’m not ashamed 🙂
    It’s my birthday today!!! I’m just going to say it…. I’m 39!
    I’m shouting it today lol. Age used to bother me and I decided I would be 28 forever… Well inside I feel 28 and everyone says i look 28 haha so that’s enough for me! Life is great! I’m going to go shopping and have awesome sushi and embrace another fabulous year!

  9. I love fall TV! I’m loyal to Grey’s Anatomy even though I know it’s not what it used to be. I’m also really into Chicago PD, Blue Bloods, and Quantico (sensing a theme? Haha). I really want to give Notorious and This is Us a try!
    Clearly I’m also a TV junkie but it is what is it! Enjoy your weekend!!

  12. Girl, you are not alone on the TV loving and fall premieres excitement! I’m such a TV hound (gultily!) I hate commercials so I usually DVR everything and watch it later, but I watched Grey’s live, I was so excited for it to come back! Quantico is another one that I’m totally stoked about and Blacklist. I’m going to have to check out This Is Us. I’ve heard really good things about it. It’s not like I need another show, but c’est la vie! 😉
