– beautiful blooms in Newport neighborhoods –

– a candy shop full of different flavors of salt water taffy –

 – a club sandwich the size of your face at Eat Chow
– a windows-down drive along the Pacific Coast Highway –

– a gorgeous evening walking along the Newport Beach pier –

Christian and I spent an exciting and exhausting week in California house hunting and exploring the place we will soon be calling home.  We are trying to let the excitement trump the overwhelming move and adjustment we have coming — an experience that we know will help us grow individually and together.  So many of you have been so kind, helpful and encouraging and I can’t thank you enough!!

Happy weekend and Cinco de Mayo to all of you XO –

  2. beautiful. wow – newport is a bit of a hike from the USC area. it’s lovely down there but i am sure you know / have heard about LA traffic. have you considered manhattan beach, hermosa, redondo (also known as south bay) it’s similar vibe to newport but much closer to downtown LA and USC area

  3. Oh my gosh I am so jealous! I used to live in Laguna Hills when I was younger and SoCal is just so beautiful! My husband and I are trying to move out there from Charlotte, NC but it’s tough when you don’t have any connections! I hope you and your hubs had a great week and found a house! This will be such a fun adventure!!

  4. My husband and I moved away from Newport Beach 6 years ago and I miss it every single day. We now live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, which of course, has its own charms, but oh man, would I be lying if I said I didn’t leave my heart right there along the PCH. Beautiful images. Enjoy this upcoming season of your lives!

    xo, Grace
