I wanted to share my quick & easy five minutes or less beauty routine that is my go-to for weekdays. I focus on complexion with a bold eyeliner and colorful lip. I might work in cosmetics, but I’m on the corporate side so I honestly have very little artistry talent which is why I like to keep my beauty look fresh and simple.
Let me know what you think and what products are you go-to’s, I always love hearing your thoughts!
With a fresh, clean face, I begin with Ashley Sievert’s Mineral Velvet Créme in Paris, using Urban Decay’s Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush to apply it. I love this créme to powder coverage – enough to give a nice even complexion but lightweight and oil-free with SPF. Just what I need for everyday wear!
I set the foundation with bareMinerals tinted Mineral Veil. Then I add GlowFusion Bronzer in Golden in the shape of a “3” on my head, cheeks and chin with a touch of NARS blush in Orgasm.
Then I add just a touch of It Cosmetics Illuminizer highlighter on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose using Urban Decay’s Double-Ended brush.
For my brows I use my Naked Basics palette. I use Faint on three quarters of my brow and come in with Naked2 in the front to create that natural fading-in look.
My favorite eyeliner right now is Urban Decay’s Super Saturated Cream Eyeliner and I use their Perversion angled brush (triple love this brush). I love using this cream to create a really thick cat eye. Another favorite of mine is Stila’s Liquid Eyeliner.
My favorite lip colors right now are absolutely from Urban Decay, with my first runner up being YSL’s lip stain. I love pairing the UD lip liners and lipsticks for a rich, pigmented color that lasts for hours. Today I’m wearing Turn On.
The last step is curling my lashes and applying Urban Decay’s Subversion Lash Primer and Perversion Mascara.
Has anyone else fallen head-over-heels for IT Cosmetics brushes? Hello amazing!
And that my friends, is my everyday beauty routine with some of my favorite products as of late. Tell me – what is your everyday beauty product you can’t live without?
Thanks so much for reading! XO –
Gorgeous look! I’ve learned of some new beauty products that I must try. Thanks for sharing!

Everything looks amazing! I love the way your eyeliner looks. I will have to try UD’s Saturated Cream Liner! I cannot live without my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer to help cover my eye bags. I could sleep for 10 hours and still have dark circles!

I use Estee Lauder but am always on the hunt for a great concealer. Thanks for the suggestions I need to look into it!! XO
Love these posts and your make-up routine is so great!! I’ve never heard of Mineral Velvet Creme but it looks flawless!! Nars concealer is definitely my new beauty must have!! Wear it every day!! Random question – but where did you order your business cards from?
It is so lightweight – which is my favorite element of it! They actually were designed by Stephanie G Designs who also helped with the design of some of my blog!
you’re so adorable, Kathleen! Love your lipstick and your nails. I love Stephanie. I actually contacted her because I love your blog design. have a great one!

Oh my gosh, Jewel – you’ve made my day with your sweet words! SO glad you got in contact with Stephanie – she is so easy to work with. Thank you for stopping by! I must check out your blog! 🙂 XOXO
OMG, I have the Naked 2 pallette and never thought to use on my brows. So you use the lighter color on the part of the brow closer to your nose? And here I probably would have done it in reverse. Must try it!
Since we’re talking concealer… I’ve tried others, but always go back to Benefit’s Boi-ing. If I put nothing else on my face, it’s this.
Exactly! I learned that trick from a makeup artist and am obsessed! Thanks for the concealer tip!!
Bobbi Brown face powder in Golden Orange…seriously makes any god awful foundation look like it was customized for my skin! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Your look looks so put together!
Ok then I DEFINITELY need to try that face powder! Bobbi Brown products never disappoint!
I love the mauve pink lips! Such a great way to incorporate color in an every day makeup look.
I need to revamp my makeup routine, so this helps! I love your Nail Polish color too!
I have been loving that UD mascara, and desperately want to try the primer too! Loved seeing your routine!

I think I love the primer most of all – it really adds a little extra “oomph” to the lashes. If you try it, let me know what you think!
You are too cute Kathleen!! I love this post – I’m always so interested to hear and see what other girls are using! Also, it must be said, you are absolutely gorgeous without make up too! Random question – where did you buy your adorable robe? I’ve been on the hunt for ages and yours is the perfect one! I love that it has your initials 🙂
Have a great day!
Carly xx
Aw thanks so much Carly! The robe was a gift but I’m pretty sure it came from Etsy. If you search “waffle-weave robe” lots of great options come up! I hope this helps XO
This is such a pretty look! The lip color looks gorgeous on you, and I love the robe too.
The Grass Skirt
I use the same NARS blush and have for years..love it! You are gorgeous!
Where did you get your makeup brush holder?
Thanks so much!! Just ordered one!!

Hi!
Love your blog! My favorite part of the routine is that or is so simple! Running after 3 kids and 4th on the way it is an essential part of my routine! I never heard of the the mineral vail creme, how good is the coverage? I have very good skin but I do appreciate a nicely even base. Also, do you think it will suit dry and fair skin? Thanks!
I think it’s great coverage but it’s definitely lighter – it’s not a heavy foundation by any means, but it’s really natural! I have oily skin and it does just fine, but I would recommend visiting a Sephora or Ulta to try it out on your hand to make sure you like it.
looking amazing. Love your tutorials. Learns so much from you.
lovely pics. i really enjoyed your article. i must visit again on your blog to learn more.
