I’m ready for a night out on the town in this number! Wearing this top and bottom together makes quite a statement, but I think they would look equally fabulous mix and matched with other pieces – like the skirt with a simple knotted tee or the top with a high waisted floral skirt.

The best part of this look is that it’s from the dream team behind Long Tall Sally – a shop that is dedicated to providing clothing and shoes to tall gals 5’8″ and taller for over 30 years.  How brilliant is that? I don’t have very long legs, but I do have long torso which can make finding shirts that fit just right a bit of a challenge.  Crop tops are cute, but tops that aren’t meant to be crop tops showing midriff… like a blouse? Not so cute. In high school when I would come downstairs showing any amount of midriff (even if it was just when I leaned over) my mom would call me Britney Spears.  And she did not mean it as a compliment.

I’ve also got big feet.  As in I have nightmares about becoming pregnant and my feet growing (a rumor I hear and still do not know if this is true or not).  The horror!!

So for the tall girls out there – this shop is for you.

  1. oh my gosh the pregnancy growing feet thing scared me too! I can tell you though that my size 11 (I am 6’2) feet did not grow after I had my son so it does not happen to everyone ;D

    1. Melissa!! BEST NEWS EVER. I’m a 9.5 but I’m like… how much bigger are we talking here!? Thank you for sharing! And 6’2″!? You go girl!

  2. I love love love this look and can we talk about those sunglasses?! They are wonderful! I’ve never heard of Long Tall Sally but should definitely check it out! I’ve been the same height (5’8) since the 6th grade and had the same problem with shirts and skirts always being too short. My parents hated it but I was like, can’t help it! Sorry not sorry. I still have that problem with skirts/dresses. Finding work-appropriate lengths is quite the challenge…it’s those long legs! Again, can’t help it.

    1. Girl, these sunglasses are next to nothing from Amazon! Get yourself a pair! And Long Tall Sally is here for you, sister. It’s perfect!

  3. I love the premise behind this shop! Even though I’m only 5’3 – I actually wish there was a short girl version of this shop as I always have trouble buying skirts and pants that fit right! You look so fabulous, as always! You are such a natural in front of the camera, even when it’s not your darling husband taking the pics! I’m terrible – I freeze up if it’s anyone other than me and my tripod haha! Xx

    1. Oh my gosh that is so not true! I laughed out loud reading your comment because I literally asked Jason (the photographer) if I looked awkward after he snapped some photos. I felt so stiff! I wish I knew how to use a tripod – you go sister! XO

  4. I wish I was tall and could shop there, this outfit is killer! If you find a shop for munchkins, let me know.
    XOXO!

    1. But you’re so cute and teeny – you should stay the exact same and just shop petite! 🙂

  5. I just got done being pregnant 3 months ago and as far as feet growing it can happen. It’s more that they spread because of a chemical that comes about to help your pelvis spread (for delivery). Mine did not get bigger or spread. They were swollen like no other at the end of it but I’m happy to report I can fit into all my shoes (it’s everything else in my closet which is the problem). 😉

    1. Thank you so much for sharing this! I hope my just swell and then go back down. 🙂 Cheers to fitting in all of your shoes (!!) and congratulations on your sweet newborn!!
