I’m the girl who has been wearing the same kinds of eyeshadows since jr. high, and rose-tinted hues have always been some of my faves!  When I went to the People’s Choice Awards a few weeks ago, I loved seeing women with natural, glowing makeup on the red carpet, reminding me that you don’t have to wear a lot of makeup to look and feel great.

Covergirl has the most beautiful rosey-hued eyeshadow palette, some seriously volumizing mascara and a pinky-mauve lipstick that gives me the soft, feminine look I’m going for.  Even better, you can snag all of these affordable items at your local Walgreens. I used two of the darker brown shades and blended them into my crease, adding a lighter pink on the inner corner and blending toward the middle.  I used the darkest shade to smudge into both my top and bottom lash line, and pulled it all together by curling my lashes and adding two coats of mascara.  Add a few quick strokes of lipstick and you’ve got a rosey eye and lip that keeps the focus on you!

  3. I’ve been using the old fashioned covergirl mascara with the pink and green bottle for years! I try new ones all the time but always end up back with old reliable! Also, I think light eye shadows and blushes really make skin look dewey and glow. Beautiful!

  10. My go-to beauty item is Maybelline Mascara – the classic pink tube with the green top. I wear it religiously every day for defined lashes. On low key makeup days that’s the only thing I wear to make my eyes pop!

  29. Walgreens is my go-to for makeup staples! I’ve been loving the Cover Girl flamed out mascara. The brush is shape is similar to the better than sex mascara everyone raves about but the price is actually doable. Plus, I could spend an hour browsing the essie collection 🙂

  32. Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturizer is my holy grail beauty product. I have such dry and flaky skin, even in the summertime and I cannot tell you how many moisturizers I’ve tried! This one is great because it absorbs into the skin and leaves my skin feeling soo moisturized and soft!

  41. I am a redhead with a seasonally changing skin tone so I love the neutrals. But on crazy days, as long as I have access to my classic Maybelline mascara and Cover Girl brow pencils, I feel presentable and can leave the house!

  44. I LOVE Salma Hayek’s line, Nuance. My favorite everyday lipstick shade (plum mauve) and nail polishes are from that line! It sells at CVS but I think sadly it’s going to be discontinued.

  48. The CoverGirl Outlast Lip Shine in cabernet is my absolute favorite from Walgreens. It’s amazing what beauty products you can find there at such a low cost.

    Walgreens has always been my goto place for everyday makeup essentials. Their BB cream, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick and lip balms all are my favorite, and the list goes on and on with such a great price. With a toddler to run around it becomes easier for me to just shop all of my favorites easily and all at one place.

  54. The colors in that CoverGirl eye pallet looks gorgeous. Love the pictures. I’ve never really tried anything from CoverGirl. Seeing that pallet makes me want to try the brand now. The drugstore makeup brands are really stepping their game up.

  62. Love your blog – always a fun read! I’m obsessed with L’oreal’s Voluminous False Fiber Lashes mascara. It’s better than any pricey brand I’ve tried….and I’ve tried a lot. I also swear by Covergirl’s cheekers blushes – so many pretty colors (I’ve used the hot pink since middle school and I graduated from Ole Miss way before your time!)

  68. I have a few drug store favorites I mix in with my Nars and Bobby Brown staples. I love EOS and Burt’s Bee lip balm, Neutrogena make up wipes and when money is tight I go to the pink and green Maybelline Great Lash mascara. Always a good choice!

  69. Covergirl eyeliner and Lash Blast mascara are forever my favorites. And I can’t leave Walgreens without grabbing a new nail polish (it’s an addiction that I’m 100% ok with.)

  72. Lip gloss is a MUST! But I never go to bed without my Berks Bee Chapstick! It’s a classic that will never fade!

  75. I love the not your daughter line of hair products. The dry shampoo is fantastic for touching up oily roots without feeling gross.

  77. Mascara and lipsticks are my go tos because it only takes a touch of either to look good and pulled together and finished. Beauty blenders (name brand or not) though have also been growing on me as must haves for my makeup

  86. Anyone remember Buf Puffs to clean your face? Well they no longer make them ? but Walgreens came up with their own brand that’s even better! They are nude color so when you remove your foundation it’s invisible on the puff (which is reusable) so it never even looks ugly with makeup buildup! Use your cleaner of choice.

  87. I’ve tried a million different mascaras (both drugstore and expensive brands) trying to find the perfect one. But my fav -by far- is still Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara (which you can get at Walgreens)!

  88. I swear by Rimmel London’s lipstick 104 in the Kate Moss collection. Been wearing it as long as I can remember. Hard to find another $5 lipstick as fierce as Kate #104??

  89. What a lovely blog. I’ve always followed on Instagram only… My favorite Walgreens item is Dickinson witch hazel wipes. So great while traveling or during a long day. Wipes grime away and brightens in one step.

  90. Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser takes off all my makeup without drying it out! Aveeno skin clearing cc cream has spf 30 and gives my skin a glowy, dewy look that I’m loving for winter!

  93. My favorite drugstore find has been the Studio 35 Beauty Alpha Hydroxy Face Cream! It’s made such a major difference in my skin in only a couple of weeks… definitely a holy grail for me!

  100. I have so many!!! Some faves are:
    1) Covergirl Lashblast mascara (in the orange tube) – I have used some of the most expensive mascara brands & yet always go back to this!
    2)Almay Smart Shade CC Cream – I just wear this, concealer as needed & powder on my skin
    3) Wet n Wild MegaLast matte lipstick – these are phenomenal, especially considering the price! Lately I’ve been loving Dollhouse Pink & Purty Persimmon ?

  101. Just bought the mascara today!!!! I love a lot of drug store make up! They’ve really stepped up their game! I love Sally Hansens strengthening top coat nail polish been buying it for years ..it’s very shiny!!!!

  104. My favorite go to beauty item that I shop at Walgreens for is CoverGirl LashBlast Clump Crusher Extensions Mascara. Mascara is my favorite make up item for a quick pick me up look…now only if it wasn’t so hard to remove at the end of the day…then again I could use the make up remover that I buy at Walgreens too. 🙂

  106. My favorite drugstore product is the Maybelline Falsies mascara. It is my holy grail mascara. It makes my lashes so long and full without being clumpy and spidery.

  110. Aside from lots of L’Oreal and Cover Girl mascaras, the Maybeline Instant Age Rewind Eraser concealer is really great. Neutralizer color works for my medium neutral skin tone.

  114. I’m a constant Walgreens shopper and I absolutely love Covergirl Outlast foundation! I’m similar in a sense that I always stick to the same makeup and for some reason I buy nice eyeshadow palettes and get afraid to touch them, but I’ve started using them recently and I have no idea why I was intimidated by shadow! It really defines the eyes as dramatically or subtly as you’d like. Your outfit looks so cozy by the way!

  125. I recently discovered Cover Girl’s The SuperSizer mascara, and it. is. amazing! Also love Revlon’s Photo Ready foundation — it’s the drugstore version of Smashbox’s high-def foundation, which I’ve also used, and honestly can barely tell the difference. I also love the Essie polish and L’Oreal’s Elnet hairspray.

  126. My favorite drugstore beauty product (that I cannot live without!) is the Maybelline Matte + Poreless foundation. I always buy it from Walgreens because they have it buy one get one 50% off pretty regularly.

  128. My favorite is Maybelline Great Lash mascara! I’ve been using it since college and the curved brush perfectly gets all of my eyelashes so they have volume and don’t look clumpy at all. I am a fan of all of physicians formula’s bronzers. Many contain sunscreen and their matte brozners are comparable to Too Faced’s 16 hour brozner for my face.

The white coat makes your lashes fuller, longer, and thicker immediately, and cover with a top coat of black and you are looking GLAM in seconds! My absolute favorites from Walgreens are my go-to Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipsticks (in almost every shade)…I love their colors, coverage and creamy texture… & Covergirl’s Lash Blast Volume Mascara!! This mascara never fails to provide the most subtle look for everyday wear or a more dramatic look if I choose to get fancy!! I always love reading your posts!
