Getting to Friday feels celebratory today because of what an exciting, whirlwind of a week it has been.  I’m so excited to finally share that this month I’ll be collaborating with Morning Lavender Boutique to launch a curated summer collection of clothing and accessories!!

This has been in the works for several months, and the ML team and I have been sending emails and texts back and forth, meeting at coffee shops and exchanging mood boards and photos for weeks upon weeks.  They kept me at their righthand for the entire process – shopping at market, trying on the pieces to make sure they’re comfortable and truly represent both ML and CBL.  If you were following along on Snapchat (CBLied), you probably saw a sneak peek of some of the pieces.  The entire collection launches 6/20 and will be available for purchase at Morning Lavender.  I don’t want to share all the goods just yet, but let’s just say I’m going to be living in this collection all summer.  Short dresses, maxi dresses, rompers, jumpsuits, culottes, distressed denim, hats – the gang’s all here and seeing everything come together has been so exciting!

We shot the lookbook in Palm Springs, and when I got home I turned right around and hopped over to Newport for another fun project with Glitter Guide that will be revealed next week.  I now write this at noon, eating pasta with a scrunchie in my hair and no makeup on, which might just be the best reward of all.

Without you, my girlfriend and dear reader, none of these opportunities would be possible.  I don’t mean to be a sap, but I could literally shed tears over how incredibly thankful, grateful and appreciative I am that you have been on this journey with me, sharing your love, feedback and encouragement to make my fashionista dreams come true. You are a part of this website, this little CBL-happy-hour-girlfriend-pajama-party, so this collection is for us. Girls like us who want to feel great, look great and not break the bank.

Can’t wait to share everything! Love you guys and thank you always for everything. You make me so happy – XO –

PS – one of my readers made sure to send me this article about Carrie Bradshaw and her love life. You guys KNOW I’m a big Aidan fan – I will always think Carrie made the wrong choice.  So when I read, “those who cheered for Aidan, I have realized, respect themselves far more than those who did for Big,” I was like, oh snap! Check out the article and tell me what you think!

  1. Kathleen,
I do a vlog and when people give me feedback it always let’s me know how worth it it is, so I want you to know that literally your blog is the first thing I check in the morning while I’m drinking my coffee. You are so creative, beautiful, and your blog is always personal and well written. I know you put your heart into all you do and it really shows. Thank you for making each day brighter and taking so much time to show us your life and closet!

    1. WOW. I don’t even know what to say to this incredibly kind comment, Angela! First of all, please tell me your vlog so I can check it out! I really appreciate you taking the time to visit, read and share your sweetness. Honestly – you have made my MONTH!

  2. LOL! I never quite thought about it that way, but I married an Aiden. It’s funny when you put real life into the perspective of Sex and the City. I used to live in Manhattan and I dated a Big for 3 years. I met him when I was 15 and chased him for 4 years before he gave me a chance. Now that I think about it, he was truly a Big! The roller coaster, the doubts, the mixed signals, the unreliability and the passion were all Big. I knew what I wanted and it took me a while, but thank goodness I found it…….an Aiden. Strong, reliable and a hard worker. An NYPD Detective who adored me and never let me down. He made me his world and I never had to question his actions. He let me know what he wanted and how he felt, right from the beginning. We’ve been married for 18 years now and have 3 beautiful boys and currently live in Tennessee……… that’s an Aiden!

    1. I LOVE this comment and story!! How lucky are to have found this incredible man and father. It sounds like you deserve it and don’t take him for granted. What a great example you’ve set for your boys!

  3. Congratulations!! Can’t wait to see the collection, especially the maxi (insert dancing red dress emoji)!!
I love reading CBL because it’s honest. Thanks for sharing the highs and the lows in your life with us!
P.S. Your snaps are hilarious and I totally agree about Chris Martin!

    1. Thank you so much Delaney!! And I mean… have you seen that Chris Martin video with James Corden? I think I fell in love even harder.

  4. I seriously can’t WAIT for your collection with ML to come out! I’m sure it’s amazing…at least from the 10 second snapchats, it looked absolutely incredible! 5. Can I just tell you how amazing your snaps are when you’re using a tripod and remote shutter release?! I did that for almost a year and girlfriend, the struggle is too real! ? I actually used this method last night to photograph ice cream and got sticky rock candy all over our sheepskin rug (again, don’t tell my husband!) ?? The photo turned out cute though so I guess it was worth it? ????❌ Ha! Have a great weekend! ???

    1. HAHA – then you can totally feel my pain! I still have to use it when I’m in a pinch.

  6. I cannot WAIT to see all of the pieces in the collection– I know I’m going to want every single one! Congratulations on all of your success; you SO deserve it!
