FINALLY SPILLING THE TEA! In January, we visited this location for the first time ever… and since then I’ve visited a total of twice and Christian has still only been once. So my hint of it being a place neither of us had ever visited was true, I promise!
We also… bought our first home! I wanted to finalize housing plans before we shared all of this news, and so here we are – filling you in on everything that has been going on since January.
Let’s do this –
black cami | denim (on sale) | lipstick in Love Drunk
Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with us! Appreciate all of your encouragement and support more than you guys will ever know. LOVE YOU! XO –

Ahhh yay!!! Welcome to the ATL!! So happy for y’all after following along on your adventures for so many years. This is a very happy place to live!
Thank you so much – we are so excited!
OMG!! You are going to L.O.V.E. Athens. I can say this with 100% certainty because I (and my now husband) spent 4 fabulous years there as Georgia Bulldogs. I was actually guessing Charleston, SC, but seriously, you did one even better. I feel your moving pain as my husband is a cardiac anesthesiologist, and I totally remember the feeling of finding a spot you hope is your forever home (ours is Chattanooga, TN). My ride-and-die BFF and sorority sister (from another mother) is an artist and still lives in Athens just off Milledge Avenue: ironically, just around the corner from our old sorority house. Sadly we now have kids in college and just get to live vicariously through them!!!
Please feel free to reach out via email for any suggestions or hookups in the area. My husband also has several old medical school buddies practicing there, too.
Enjoy settling into your new home. I think you will really love the area!
Thank you so much for this warm welcome – truly so kind! I’ve only been twice but we are excited to explore the area and of course, support UGA. Love hearing how much people love this town!
Congratulations Kathleen and Christian on your upcoming move to Athens!
Thank you so much Penny – hope you are doing well!
Hooray!! That’s so exciting! Selfishly, I’m excited you’ll be more in my neck of the woods, ha, but also that area is just wonderful. So happy for y’all and can’t wait to follow along the new adventures. 🙂

I don’t know much about the East Coast at all so we are so excited!
Congratulations! We have been on the east coast, in North Carolina and now Georgia since 2014 and we just love the location. We have several friends in Athens and they have only good things to say. Good luck on the move!!
I’m so excited that you’re moving to Georgia! I’m in Atlanta; let’s do lunch!!!! I absolutely love your blog!
Congrats!! Fun video! Come visit Charleston!! 🙂
Welcome to the Peach State! Y’all will love Athens and its nightlife and cultural scene.
Congrats on your news regarding your move to Athens, GA!! I recently moved to Athens from Indiana. I love living in the same city as my daughter and her husband. I am super excited to learn more about the city of Athens through your experiences!!! Good Luck with your move. I hope everything goes smoothly!
Yay! Congrats Kathleen! I was hoping for Jacksonville, FL (which is where I am), but Georgia is just as great! Enjoy your new adventure. Will look forward to seeing how you style your new home.
Cheers,
Heather
You probably get a ton of food/to-do recommendations in Athens, so I’ll leave those out. However, if you’re looking for a vet in the area I HIGHLY recommend Firehall 4 Animal Hospital. The vet isn’t bad on the eyes either 🙂
I am looking for vets and thank you so much for this rec!
