– a stop in Palm Springs for lunch, you know I needed to document this giant Palm Spring sign –
Y’all forgive me for taking the week off — I had no idea how long it would take us to get internet service! After two and a half long days of driving, we made it. Our apartment is small but it will be perfect for us and has hardwood floors and plenty of natural light – the two highest things on my wish list after Miss Lula and Bailey’s needs, of course.
We have been swamped with boxes and busy breaking things (I can’t even talk about it – I might cry), but we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and plan to head to San Diego this weekend to visit Christian’s cousin.
Thank you for your sweet instagram comments and for reading!!
– breakfast in bed, some of the best peaches I’ve ever tasted –
– a gallery wall of some of our favorite artists (and the only somewhat completed area of our new place – more to come I promise!) –
– my start at a patio garden…here’s to hoping I don’t kill these beauties because I love sticking my face in them – the smell – oh the smell of fresh herbs! –
– a beautiful fountain and ivy arch that I frequently walk Bailey to –
Y’all have a great weekend!! Thanks so much for reading – XO –
Love the new pad! Who did the piece with yall on your wedding day, and what are the pages in the background from???
Thank you Betsy! My sister-in-law created that for us. I believe it’s pages from a devotional.
Love that beautiful archway you get to walk to daily!!
a peek of chic
Welcome to So. Cal.!!! Hope you’ll be very happy here!
My grandparents lived in Rancho Santa Fe outside of San Diego my entire childhood and I have a special love for CA. Your pics are beautiful!
I was wondering what happened to my fave blogger!!! Whew!!!
You are the nicest!! XO –
My husband and I lived in Newport for 2 years and absolutely loved it. You must try True Food and Cafe R&D at Fashion Island and head down to Javier’s for dinner down the PCH. Also, if you are looking for a great workout class, there’s a Pure Barre studio in Newport (the part of town that’s closer to Costa Mesa).
We have eaten at True Food – loved it!! Will definitely have to check out your recommendations – thank you for the suggestions! The hubs just bought a Jeep Wrangler so we plan to take that baby on PCH REAL soon. XO –
Kathleen—Who painted Bailey for your wall? I love the “animal art” and would love to get the same artist to do something for my mom for her birthday!
Emily
Emily – my mom actually painted that for Christian – she did so good! Have you checked out etsy? There are TONS of great custom pet portrait artists on Etsy to choose from. We had one painted of our childhood dog for my mom for Mother’s Day once – the best gift yet!
Amazing pictures! Love the gallery wall!

I’m working on this! I think I can get it to post automatically in the early AM for you early risers!!!
where did your oxford sign come from? Loving your gallery wall and am in the process of completing mine. Was it an etsy purchase?
love the blog!

Thanks! The Oxford sign was a purchase from the Depot in Oxford (a little antique mall off North Lamar).
