Blush Sequined Top

These photos were snapped at the lawn at Chapman University, and the always green, fresh cut grass is one of my favorite landmarks of the town where we live.  I want to make grass angels in this lawn every time I pass it, and this day was no exception.  After Christian snapped these photos after church, we sat down in the grass for a few minutes and enjoyed the sunshine and the smell of the grass that gave me a few minutes of summer.

Who remembers the GAP fragrance called grass?  I’m not completely sure, but I feel like my mom, sister and I bought a bottle if not just for the amazement that it was even a fragrance.  There is even a Facebook group that is dedicated to fans begging GAP to bring back the fragrance – I’ll double like that.

As for the outfit, nothing makes me happier than a soft pink (I mean, this blog has been pink and gray since 2010). These kitten heels (the Carrie Bradshaw-lover in me never thought I would wear kitten heels, but I’m actually addicted to these sandals), this mini crossbody and blush sequin top have me so ready for a week of red and pink.

  1. This is one of my favorite outfits that I’ve ever seen you wear! So pretty. That sequin top–I want!! I also love the smell of fresh cut grass…makes me think of the Grove in the spring!! Good memories.

    I totally remember GAP fragrances! I’m not even sure if they still make any of them but I had Grass and Dream. This company still makes a Grass scent (among others such as Riding Crop and Funeral Home and Mildew! Who wants to smell like Mildew??..Hilarious!)

      And I wear yoga bras as actual bras… it’s fine.

  8. I am obsessed with those kitten heels! I might just have to go buy me a pair. I recently have been going through my closet and really condensing it down (which is super hard) but I realized that I only own black pumps. I could definitely benefit from some nude sandals in my life.

    1. I am working on this same thing with my closet. It’s so hard but so worth it once you’ve cleaned out! I never thought I would wear kitten heels, but the style and color of these are actually really flattering and comfortable. I love that they’re a little step up from your regular flat sandal.
