Glowing and Smooth Skin

It’s no secret that the best beauty weapon is great skin.  I have my mom to thank for my olive complexion, but she also instilled skincare advice to me when I was young and has always been good to her own skin.  I have used a gentle face cleanser like Purpose Soap and Oil of Olay moisturizer since I was in high school!

Crest White-Strips are a no-brainer these days, and my Venus razor always stays in my travel toiletries bag.  All of these items you can snag at your local Walgreens without breaking the bank.  Who said great skin had to be expensive?

    Laniege Water Sleeping Mask:
    Usually found at Target, this is a Korean line that uses mineral rich water in all of their products. The line is amazing! They are owned by Amore Pacific which sells products that are 10x the cost. The mask is worn while you sleep. You wake up to smooth, hydrated

    Real Techniques Silicone liner Brush
    Superfine point for gel or cream liner that will never fray or get caked with product. You’ll get a perfect line, every time! Costs about $7 at Target

  3. Now you know I’m not one to know anything about makeup/beauty tips, but I recently read this blog post and it changed my thoughts about skincare: http://www.holycitychic.com/2015/11/why-i-switched-to-safer.html

    I don’t like spending a lot of money on beauty products, but I ordered the Beautycounter Essentials line and it should be at my house today. I hope it works well with my sensitive skin. I have also stopped my Light Blue perfume and literally feel better than I have in months. Maybe there is something to all these chemicals harming us. Better safe than sorry.

  6. Always great go to’s! Cannot live without my Venus! I always pick up Witch Hazel for my toner and Tea Tree Oil for blemishes and acne at my Walgreens!

  9. Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment works pretty well. Luckily I have great skin and rarely get a pimple, but this is was I used to use when I got one! Now I just let it go away because they rarely last more than a day

  10. It’s not a drugstore brand, but it might as well be for the price: Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel $10 for spot treatment and MK Pore Purifying Serum for more regular use (prevention) $17. Also, with the company’s 100% satisfaction guarantee, you can’t go wrong. I also would endorse Witch Hazel, baking soda with water (I’ve heard its great for spot treatment), or any other natural remedies.
