Year Round Statement Skirt

This post is slightly photos overload… but it’s just because I love a pleated midi skirt so much. You guys know it’s true! I’ve shared a similar style here, and faux leather version here and here. If you follow along on Instagram, you may have seen these metallic versions here and here. So yes… I’m addicted.

One of the many reasons I love this style is that you can wear it with a fitted sweater, turtleneck and ankle boots or a crop top for summer. Depending on the color of the skirt, it really can take you year-round.

My parents got in town Friday so we have been hanging out all weekend, and today we are heading to Laguna where we will see Pageant of the Masters tonight. I’ve seen it a few years ago with Christian, but my mom is an artist (and theater lover) so I know she is going to love it. Plus it was joked about in Arrested Development, which makes it a little dash of hilar.

    1. I think it’s all about finding the right length. It might mean you need to take it to the alterations gal… which may or may not be worth it!

  4. I love this look, the lace and the pleated midi skirt, its all so girly and feminine. I totally agree with you that this skirt can be worn year round. I’m looking for pieces like this midi for the holiday season. I’ll be spending it Florida with my parents for a couple weeks so I need a bunch skirts or dresses like this. Thanks for sharing.

  10. You look beautiful! I have always loved pleated skirts. I think they are so feminine. Love your lace top with the skirt and such a pretty shade, that soft green. Love yours and also that olive green is catching my eye for Fall.

  12. I love this look! You definitely made me want to get one (and I just might!). What top is that? You list one in the details but it doesn’t have the same details as the one in the photos. Can you share the one you’re wearing in the photos?
