My January uniform was sweatpants only. And I have no regrets because I was focusing on surviving the day. So even though I’m now getting properly dressed maybe… 3 out of 7 days, I’m rounding up some of my favorite sweats and loungewear right now.

Last month I was wearing matching sweats and an oversized vest daily. It was great. Lots of pockets for keys, phone, chapstick, headphones – everything I need.
This is the last day of January – what a BLUR. But I’m going to look to the light and that’s red, pink, hearts, and all the fun Valentine’s Day things.

I confess that I bought a large bag of these delicious gummies and I don’t know who loved them more – myself or Hudson. I might need another bag for Valentine’s Day.
This is kept in my car and it’s a daily pick-me-up.
How cute is this simple sweater? I kind of love that it’s not obvious pink and red, making it wearable all season.
I have these pajamas and they’re great. You can’t go wrong with classic red!
Women often say, “little boy clothes just aren’t cute.” And sure, while they may not be ruffly and scalloped, there are still plenty of adorable little boy clothes out there. You just have to know where to look!
Kicking off 2024 with some organizational inspiration because that feels right. It’s January clean-out and straighten-up season, and nothing gets me more excited than cleaning out a drawer or closet.
Two things I’ve read before that changed my organizational life are:
If you can get it done in 60 seconds, don’t wait, and go ahead and do it now. If you can do it quickly, there’s no reason to put it off.
When it’s time to clean out an area, take it one drawer/section at a time over a few days. So often we just blanket think about organizing as setting aside an entire morning or afternoon, etc. But even if you took one bathroom drawer a day… by the end of the week the entire bathroom would be done and you would only spend a small fraction of the day getting it done.
The home we are currently living in has been our home for 4.5 years. I love this house, and it was the first home we purchased for our family, before Hudson had been born. I don’t know that we necessarily thought it was our “forever home,” but it has been a dream come true for me. I’ll never forget how I felt moving into this house… pinch me.
With that being said… I was not looking to move. But I am the kind of person who takes advantage of opportunities when they cross my path… and so is Christian. Twice before there have been housing situations that came up that we explored. However, during those times we both felt like it wasn’t the right move for our family.
This time, a home was presented to us and we thought, “let’s check it out… but I hope we don’t like it because this isn’t a great time to move for many reasons.”
Well… we loved it. The timing was mid-fall and together we decided to put in an offer. But we didn’t have the passion or energy to counter back and forth, so we put it to rest and moved on.
Or did we move on?
Christian kept thinking about the house for sale and after a little convincing, he encouraged me to put all our chips in and list our house. I had very mixed feelings about it. I have slowly been working on this house for many years and just this year thought, “I’m finally done for now until we add on xyz in a few years.”
After four days we had a several offers and that’s that.
There were so many dominoes that had to fall perfectly into place, and it was so layered that I truly put it in God’s hands. If this is the right thing for our family, please let it work out. If not, we are just fine staying put.
So now we have closed on both houses and are moving in a few short weeks. I am so happy to be able to share this now because it has kept us very busy, on top of work + the holidays. I feel like I was doing the least in my business because with the holidays, kids and spontaneously buying/selling houses I was simply trying to stay above water.
I feel relieved to share what had me doing the least compared to years past! I hope the gift guides were still helpful to you guys and this move will soon be behind us and my creative wheels will begin to turn again.
While I will deeply miss this house, our first to call our own, I know this is the right choice for our family. And I’m looking forward to sharing the design process with all of you! Thank you so much for checking in and I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Happy New Year! xo –
Rounding out our gift guides this year, we have some last-minute gifts (including some places you might be able to grab in person!) for those of us who aren’t quite done shopping for our loved ones just yet…

A few of these items I have and love. Let’s get into it –
This lip treatment is the best. I have one in my bedside drawer and one in my car. And trust me, people love receiving it as a gift!
I bought this for my dad for his birthday and my mom will send pictures of him using it. Not only pretty but a great way to help your candle burn evenly.
I have been on a major kick with blue cheese wedge salads for the past month or two. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen me share at least 6 wedge salads… maybe more. The limit does not exist.
I even made this for a potluck dinner with a few friends recently and it was a big hit (and really pretty!).
Even though the ingredient list is super short, they’re so easy to make and always feel indulgent, rich, crunchy, and filling.
I’m going to share the ways I like to assemble my wedge, but if you have your own version I’d love to hear in the comments!
Ingredients:
Iceberg lettuce
Crumbled blue cheese
Cherry tomatoes, cut in to fourths
3 pieces of bacon, chopped
Chopped chives or green onion
salt & pepper
Bottled blue cheese dressing (homemade if you’re extra fancy)
Directions:
Rinse lettuce. I usually cut 1/4 to half of the head of lettuce depending on whether it’s a side to an entree or the entire meal itself. Top with your chopped goods, dressing, herbs + salt + fresh pepper on top. Serve with fork and steak knife (the best).
What’s fun is that I change it up. Once I added a boiled egg, sometimes I skip tomatoes, one time I made croutons, sometimes I don’t add bacon, etc. Christian isn’t big blue cheese guy but I will make a similar caesar version for him or use fresh buttermilk ranch and fresh dill.
This week’s gift guide is a little bit late (I’m sorry!), but I wanted to put together some gifts for the guys. I included pieces that Christian has and uses all the time.

I was lucky enough to receive these headphones in a press mailer earlier this year, and now I genuinely like them more than my AirPods. Much more actually – and they’re a great price point by comparison!
How fun is this poker set? I don’t know how to play poker… but a little set makes me want to try. I do however love a good game of Mexican Train Dominoes. So fun and easy!
I got this for both my dad and Christian last year for Christmas. My dad uses his all the time. Christian would use his more except a little blonde baby tends to delightfully steal the golf ball.
Christian bought this quilted shacket when we were in Charleston and he loves it. He wears it almost daily when he changes clothes after work. Highly recommend!
I have this mug and have given two to grandparents in the past. It’s such a hilarious gift – one that I know brings lots of smiles! Similarly, my brother and his wife gave my dad these socks and they’re so great.
More gift ideas to come and y’all… we gotta get on it. Christmas is almost on the 10-day countdown! And more gift ideas in the “holiday” section of this site. Thank you so much for reading and see you soon – xo –
Sharing a few things that are on my holiday wish list this year. And it’s random… but aren’t all of our lists all over the place? That’s part of the fun, right?

I saw these small Juliska ramekins when we were visiting Charleston, and they were so cute and practical. I can see them being used for all kinds of things and would love a set of four. I’ve had our berry & thread collection since 2012 and we still love it.
Saw these platters on Etsy and not only thought they were so pretty, but they’re also so convenient for bringing an app, side, etc. to other friends’ houses.
When I was gifted this rolling tote bag and it’s brilliant. The best gift – I love it.
Something about a virtual reality headset just sounds so fun. Like the party tool to bring out after a glass of wine. Is it weird that I want a toy? If it is… she don’t care (flips hair).
I can’t express enough how much I LOVE that instead of hyping up Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we just call it Cyber Week and have discounts over a multi-day period. It only encourages all of us to plan accordingly for thoughtful purchases rather than distract us from the point of this long weekend: gathering with people we love.
SO, I’m sharing some of my favorite sales this weekend below, along with a few collages of:
items that I have and love that are currently marked down
items I really want to purchase
items on sale that I think would make great gifts
I will be adding to this post and list throughout the week as well!
I have a Vinglance wine and champagne chiller, and it is so fab to pull out for guests. You can leave the white wine on the table and know that it stays both chilled and dry (vs. an ice bucket).
I recently received this nightgown and really, really love it. It has nice, deep pockets and the prettiest ruffle criss-cross straps in the back. A nightgown that feels more like a sleeping dress. I love it.
I have the weighted sleep mask, but this body pod would be a great gift to the person who loves to clock their REM sleep and so on. A Hatch would also be a great gift!
I got these Blazers last year and have been wearing them more and more. They have replaced my Golden Goose sneakers and honestly feel much more on trend.
I just finished a bottle of this facewash and am so sad it’s empty. LOVED it, and the bottle and presentation is so beautiful.

Last week we discussed holiday gifts under $50. Today we are slightly raising the price max to $75, and I’m sharing some items I would love to receive in that range.

I’m addicted to this Lip Plasma. So much so, that I brought one to the UGA vs. Ole Miss football game, and when I couldn’t find it, I was determined to make sure I didn’t accidentally leave it behind. I ended up finding it… on the row of sets in front of me. Night made!
I was given one of these a little while ago and I keep hearing more and more about it. I gave it a try last night and was amazed at how relaxing a weighted eye mask is. Wow.
I just smelled this lotion for the first time and WOW. It smells amazing.
