If you follow my account on Instagram, you have definitely seen me tag and mention my Our Place Always Pan. I received it a little less than a year ago, and I would absolutely say that it is my #1 go-to when pulling out cookware.
Some of the reasons I love it so much:
It’s nonstick, while still being nontoxic (no Teflon here), and taller than all of my other pans or skillets. This means that it is great for a grilled cheese as well as pasta, etc.
It’s incredibly easy to clean. Alarmingly easy and quick.
It comes with a metal steaming basket. So you can steam your veggies (or potstickers – which are a favorite of ours) and then sauté them. You do you.
It also comes with a wooden spoon that can hook on on the handle and rest. Again, limited clean up. Beautiful.
A new Our Place addition are these glasses and bowls. Both are easily stackable which is just another small step toward making life a little simpler. I love green glass, so I knew these would blend in fabulously with our home, but the bowls. I am loving these bowls! Similar to the skillet size, these bowls are perfect. You can use them for salads, soups, pasta, anything with a lot of broth, etc. I used them for Chinese takeout last weekend and they were A+++.
It should also be mentioned that the longtime wear of the Always Pan is best sustained by using it for low to medium temperatures and using a soft sponge is the best way to clean. It also comes with a soft scrubbing pad and trust me, it’s so easy to clean that you shouldn’t need more than that. You can find more detailed care tips on their Instagram highlights.
If you’ve been considering Our Place, I’m happy to try to answer any questions you have! I have been using their cookware for many, many months now and am such a fan of the brand, it’s a privilege to work with them.
Every now and then, LiketoKnow.it hosts an “LTK Day” where select brands are discounted exclusively within the app. Another LTK Day is coming up 9/20-22, and I wanted to share some of picks from the brands that will be included!
Abercrombie is one of the brands that will be featured, and you know I can’t get enough of their denim. Loving this pair, along with these and this beautiful wrap dress.
There are a few outfits that will never fail you. All black. A black dress and a trench coat. And a white shirt with denim.
Granted, most colors look great with denim which is why we all love jeans so much. But the contrast between white and blue will never fail you. When it comes to a collared white shirt, there are a few brands I love. Noble31 makes a really chic white shirt with a stiff collar that will stand tall all day. J.Crew has a great everyday white collared shirt with stretch and a linen version. And Bella Dahl makes the softest white shirt you’ll find (I actually just bought this linen top of theirs on sale).
Pair your white with denim and make a statement with your accessories – like leopard heels, a statement bag and layers of gold jewelry. Or honestly you can keep it simple and still look fabulous. It’s a great outfit when you don’t want to “think.” Which is why it’s on a constant rotation in my closet.
Do you have a favorite white shirt in your closet? I also have a white tee roundup linked here if you’re interested! Thanks so much for reading and sharing – XO –

Ooohh honey! I’ve been excited about this gorgeous, sleek white culotte jumpsuit for months. It is from B.Freedom, a designer that is new to me and makes seriously fabulous pieces.
A few years ago I shared a red strapless culotte jumpsuit here, and last year I shared linen culottes here. I love culottes. Make them white and a jumpsuit with pockets? Hook, line and sinker.
At first glance you might think it’s a spring and summer piece, but I think this would look very chic for a winter party. You could pair it with a black blazer and black pumps. Add some gold and silver and you have a New Years Eve look!
Are you a jumpsuit kind of gal? The only con is that when you’re in a public restroom (which is pretty much never these days), you have to triple lock the doors out of fear anyone will walk in. So there’s that.

Ooohhh honey – the temperatures have actually dropped to the 70’s, so I feel I can actually mentally get in that September headspace. Bring it on!
Truth be told, I’m not a big seasonal decor person. I feel like life is busy enough trying to keep the house clean without pulling out or putting up seasonal decorations every few months. But I do like adding a few small things that add a personal touch and a little pizazz.
White pumpkins are my pick for fall and Halloween because they are seasonal but not disruptive to your home decor. This basket one is so cute too! I also love an easy doormat change or candle to change things up. I’ve also added this $8 fall spice essential oil to my cart for my diffuser.
Are you a seasonal decorating person or not so much? I’m hoping to step up my holiday decorations this year considering I’m not 9 months pregnant this time around and have the energy to do so. Hoping to get a super tall tree in the foyer! Thanks so much for reading and sharing – XO –

Will there be more Amazon Drop pieces available? Will there be a a restock?
I wish! There are no plans to restock. The Drop is created by ordering a limited about of fabric and once the fabric has run out, the pieces are gone. I know it’s frustrating, but it’s also what makes each limited-edition piece so unique!
As people return pieces, they will appear on the Drop site for sale in the “Just A Few Left” section. So if you want to try to snag another size or get a piece you may have missed out on, you might spot it there!
How do you get the motivation? To get dressed everyday, workout, etc.?
This job is my motivation! I also have childcare for Hudson, so I am motivated to get dressed because I don’t want them to think, “this lady needs help with her child yet she can’t even get dressed every day.” Ha!
I share my appearance for a living on Instagram Stories, Zoom calls, etc. I also have to film post previews for brands and partnerships.
However I do usually choose 1-2 days a week to just stay in lounge clothes with no makeup. And I really do appreciate those days as well.
How did you decide on Georgia for your forever-home vs. other job locations?
It came down to the two best job opportunities for Christian and they were in Newport Beach, California and Athens, Georgia. While I could have easily spent 5-10 more years in Southern California, wherever we chose we intended to plant roots, raise our family and remain for decades to come.
It was hard to imagine always being across the country from our families. Hudson has 12 first cousins (and counting!) and they all live in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. Ultimately we chose the opportunity that would allow us to be a car ride from our families.
Favorite strapless bra?
Strapless bras are tough, and admittedly I wear these petals whenever I can.
But if I have to wear a strapless bra, it’s this one.
How do you feel about vintage jewelry? Cool or not your thing?
I LOVE IT! I love consigned and vintage pieces and used to shop them much more. Now that this blog and Instagram are my full-time job, girls can get really frustrated when I wear things that have no online links.
I think we all wear things that are from years ago, seasons past, from boutiques or hand-me-downs. But I try to wear those kinds of pieces offline as they usually bring lots of questions.
I see you in a lot of white tees. Any tricks to avoid yellowing?
Soak your favorite white tees in OxiClean. They have directions on the container for soaking, and it WORKS.
For really yellow-stained tees, soak overnight and wash in the AM.
Recommendations for what to wear to a fall wedding?
And you can never go wrong with a classic black dress. Make it your own with statement accessories!
How to you balance work with a baby? Do you have a specific schedule, help, etc.?
I don’t have any magic tip for work/life/mom balance, but I couldn’t work without help. If I didn’t have help, Hudson would be watching three hours of TV a day, and that’s not fair to him.
I feel that having someone to help me care for him during the day allows him to have constant interaction for all of his waking hours, less screen time and more play time. Christian and I both have full-time jobs and the ability to work during the day without caring for Hudson as well truly allows me to be the best mom I can be when I am with him.
It also means I genuinely look forward to our mornings together and to shutting my computer for the day around 4:30PM so I can spend the rest of the day with him. I try to really focus on being present during our time together.
Of course… all of this is easier with just one child. I’m sure I’ll have to figure it out all over again whenever there’s another child in the mix!
How do you and your husband make being opposites work? Any common interests?
This question made me laugh! We are pretty different in our natural skill sets, however we have a quite a bit of similar interests. Our core values and religious beliefs are the same, which is the most important to us. We like a lot of the same movies, we like most all of the same foods/restaurants. It’s funny because while our personalities are extremely different, we agree on about 95% of things.
I guess my attempt at answering this question shows that I’m not quite sure how/why exactly it works, but we’ve been together 13 years and married almost 8 and… it just works!
What are your organization tips? Your home seems so neat all of the time.
I have always been a very organized person. I live by the “outer order, inner calm” mantra. I also feel like I have worked really hard to have spaces I find beautiful, so I want them to look beautiful!
When I notice a drawer or closet getting out of hand, I just tackle it before it feels out of control. I do think being “organized” or “tidy” is a bit of a personality trait. You know?
Housewarming tips for young couples?
My go-to housewarming gift is an orchid or hydrangeas in a vase. In my opinion, you can’t have too many of either!
Where is that matte blag mug from?
It was a mug in the rental cabin we stayed in. I found a similar one online with quick googler search here and here.
Can you share the link for the acrylic frame you put the scarf in?
Yes! If you search “acrylic frame” on this site, several posts will pop up with it linked here and here.
Do you plan on traveling soon?
We have a few road trips planned for 2020 but that’s about it. We haven’t stayed in a hotel since summer 2019 believe it or not! After having Hudson, we have only stayed in family homes or rental houses.
Do you have a work-from-home playlist?
I have several! You can find my “Monday” + “Friday” playlists here.
And if you just search “playlist” on this website, many posts should pop right up!
How do you not have fly-aways with your low bun?
I don’t have any layers, so that helps. I also tame baby hairs with clear mascara or brow gel.
Where is your “Hudson” necklace from?
You can find it here. Also, if you search “Hudson Necklace” on this site, it is linked in all of the posts that come up along with the outfit details. I also love this one!
Thank you so much for sending in your questions! You can see many more Q&A’s in the “personal” category of this site or by searching “Q&A” in the search bar. Thank you for reading – XO –
We are at the lake with our friends family, such a last minute treat! I can’t begin to describe how much I’m in my happy place floating on a raft on the lake. The. Best.
I still wanted to share some of the best sales happening online that you can take advantage of through Monday. I shared on stories that I am so bitter that I bought these chairs a month ago and now they are marked down $70 each! Really comfortable, rolling dining chairs if you’re in the market.
– these camellia branches that have been alive in this vase for almost a month! –
– trying U Beauty for the first time, fabulosity! –
– finding a new home for this rockstud beauty, the YSL is still for sale here! –
– once our bathroom remodel is complete, putting the finishing touches on this guest bedroom is my next project –
Labor Day weekend is upon us… where did August go? We had thought about traveling to Mississippi for the long weekend, but so many that we would love to see will also be traveling. So we will be figuring something else out. You never know, I’m always looking to bring out my inflatable pool!
We watched the VMA’s this week as well as some free concerts from Visible Mobile – Megan Thee Stallion and Sam Hunt. I am here for the digital concerts. Truly something so fun to look forward to, and you can actually still stream them for free on their site.
In the meantime, I have gotten crazy hooked this week on the This Is Actually Happening podcast. WOW – some of these stories are truly wild. They have many seasons, so it’s going to give me plenty of content to consume. If you enjoy story-telling, I would highly recommend it.
We had our third restaurant outing since March this week for a kids-free group dinner. Having that interaction really is so, so nice. In way, 2020 has taught us to appreciate those relationships and nights out more than ever.
Thank you so much for reading and have a beautiful weekend! I’m still working on finding some good holiday sales happening, so I will post those this weekend as well. Stay safe! XO –
A highly requested post, today we are talking some of my favorite white tees available online. To shop, click on the associated number or click directly on the collage and it should take you right to the item. I have a wide array of white tees from different retailers and brands, and I love them all for different fits and styles.
Some of my go-to brands for classic white tees are Michael Stars, Goldie, Z Supply, Madewell and Halogen. I really just look for soft tees in either 100% cotton or a cotton/stretch blend. In some tees I prefer a more fitted look and in others I will size up for a loose, relaxed fit. It’s really about whichever look feels more “you!”
My biggest tip for keeping your white tees looking fresh is OxiClean. When you notice some of your tees looking dull, use the soaking instructions on the container. The instructions say to let your garment soak for 4-6 hours, but sometimes I’ll let them soak overnight and wash in the morning. Just like that, you have a brand new looking shirt!
Hope this will serve as a little guide to those of you looking to spruce up your classic white tee collection. Thanks so much for reading – XO –

I love cashmere. You know it, I know it, Christian knows it… he nicknamed me the “Cashmere Monster” which then morphed into “Cash-monster.” A little cashmere set was one of the first baby clothing items I bought for little Hudson.
I typically go for solid cashmere, but these leopard prints from J.Crew are some kinda cute. They have a short-sleeved version that I am so here for. I bought this short-sleeved cashmere during the Nordstrom Sale, and I might be the only one who is new to the short-sleeved sweater. Living in the South, this is the way to go!
I styled this sweater with denim, but I think it would look super cute with black jeans, leather pants or layered over a black slip dress. Chic!
We spent a long weekend in the mountains of Blue Ridge, Georgia in a cabin that Christian found online. Originally we were going to squeeze in one last beach trip for the year, but decided to opt for cooler temperatures instead. Our little cabin was on a river, we were able to bring Bailey, and as always – it was an adventure!
We are still getting to know the areas outside of Athens, and the combination of having a baby + Covid has made our traveling minimal. Christian didn’t feel comfortable staying in a hotel just yet, so this was our first little getaway since May when we went to his family’s beach house.
While I don’t know that I would stay in this exact cabin again (I ended up sleeping in a bunk bed next to Hudson’s pack & play and we left when the electricity and water cut out for a few hours… still not sure when the came back on), I definitely hope we will go back up to the mountains. The air feels fresh, the temperatures are cooler, and the sounds of the quiet river was really peaceful. It’s always good to be back home, but it made me excited to plan some road trips ahead.
If you have favorite places to say in the Georgia or North Carolina mountains, I’d be thrilled to hear! As we continue to explore and try new places, I hope we’ll eventually find “our spots.”

– finally getting my hands on some pimento cheese dip (and it is delish!) –
Writing to you from the mountains with questionable WiFi, but we are here! Our first outing since May, and it happens to be in the middle of the first week of our bathroom demo. Life is funny that way, but I am still trying to take some time to enjoy the view, the sounds of the river and disconnect for five minutes or an hour. Whatever I can get!
I can’t believe how fast our bathroom renovation is moving. We are so excited for a big shower. I didn’t think about it until recently, but we have had oddly small walk-in showers for our entire marriage outside of the tub shower we had in San Francisco. So a spacious walk-in shower with multiple shower heads… it is something of my dreams! I able to communicate with our contractor and designer from afar, and I look forward to seeing it when we return.
I got a lot of quality time with our little Hudson this week as he caught a cold which he then passed onto us. One night I put him down at 7PM and put myself down at 8:30PM. When he is sick, I try to wash my hands and drink Emergen-C, but to the other moms of small kids – is it even possible to have a sick baby and not catch their cold?
Itching to watch the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale. Our WiFi isn’t really great enough here to stream, but I heard it was so good. Who watched it?
Off to check on Christian who is fishing by the river. If you can’t tell… I had very little involvement planning this trip, ha! Thanks so much for reading – XO –
