Christmas Decorations | 2021

I’ve said this before, but each year I’m figuring more and more how to decorate our home for different occasions, and I wanted to share some of the holiday cheer this year!

A magnolia garland tutorial was shared two years ago (my mom actually taught me how to weave magnolia sprigs into faux greenery), and I shared a DIY ornament post (you’ll see some of them below!).  My favorite tablescape in this house was shared last year here.

Gift Guide | Amazon Stocking Stuffers (For Her)

The thing I ALWAYS seem to forget about… is filling the stockings.

I have these clips and these pearly clips – love and use both often.

I bought this phone stand for recording beauty/skincare/hair videos in the bathroom, but honestly it would be great for a lot of things.  Car GPS, watching a video/show while getting ready, taking a photo with someone, etc.

I have these earrings in gold, the larger size, and they are so lightweight and inexpensive – a great buy.  After many wears they start to turn a little bit (you get what you pay for), but I’ve yet to toss mine because they are so comfortable.

I just discovered these gorgeous slippers that have over 5k reviews (!!!), and I can’t believe they’re only $25!  Such a great stocking stuffer that also takes up a lot of space.  I call that a win-win.

These slippers might take up a little more space, but they are also super cute and cozy and perfect for someone who is a little less girly.  Not all the ladies in my life are into faux fur pom poms, and I get that.

Mama + Toddler Corduroys

I prefer not to take many collaborations that involve Hudson now that he is older because it honestly… it just harder on everyone.  Making sure he’s in a happy mood, that it feels like fun rather than work, taking 3x more photos and then going through all of them to make sure we have enough where he is looking and participating, etc.

But every now and then a brand opportunity crosses my desk for him that feels so perfect that I can’t say no.  I felt this way when Boden approached us for their holiday sweater campaign.  The pieces are SO adorable, and I loved how happy and joyful the colors were.  And I think Hambone Hudson was feeling himself!  Christian photographed us together and I love these photos so much that I wanted to share more of them here.

I always split the sponsorship rate with Hudson so he can “earn” his own savings (even at 2!), which makes me feel like he’s less likely to be upset with me as a teenager when he realizes his photos are on the Internet.  I consider it like a little job that he doesn’t currently realize he’s being paid for.  And based on how he showed up the day we shot this campaign, he earned every penny.  Gold star for Lil Hud!

Gift Guide | Holiday Pajamas

I rounded up some pajamas and loungewear that are almost entirely from Amazon, most of which are festive and fun for the holidays. I can’t really explain why, but holiday sweaters and pajamas truly bring my soul joy.

This pair is not from Amazon but we have them for Hudson and they are the cutest ever. I love this brand!

We have these in both colors – red stripes and green stripes.  Both are adorable and so soft, love ’em.  This pair is also so soft and stretchy.  The pattern is ADORABLE on.

For men, I really love these and these – would make a great holiday gift!  Chic, polished and still work great for travel pajamas.  Every man  needs a good pair of travel pajamas in my opinion.

For the ladies, it doesn’t get classier than these and these.  I love them, and wish I could fit in either pair because they are pajamas I would proudly walk outside to get the mail in.

Cream Pleated Midi Dress

I shared this outfit on Instagram a few weeks ago here, but it was so soft and sweet, I wanted to share a few more of the photos we snapped in the look.  I love fall and winter textures and colors, but sometimes adding creams and pastels can be so refreshing and unexpected too.

This dress is a year-round piece in my opinion.  It has a ruffled halter neck so it’s interesting with a blazer layered over it and plenty beautiful on its own.  I paired it with python booties, but it would be gorgeous with strappy sandals in the spring or summer!

The stretchy, elastic waistband is comfortable while pregnant but I know it will be forgiving in the spring/summer postpartum as well.  Win and win.

I cannot get over how cute this little puffer jacket is.  If you need a warm jacket for your little this winter, this is a GREAT time to buy!  I recently bought Hudson this little vest and we love it.  This one is super similar and on sale.

We can’t have enough sleep sacks.  They’re the best.

I love sweet pajamas, and these are these are too sweet.  I also love a zip-up like this and this.

I love the color range of these leggings and these maternity joggers look so comfortable.  Put this vest on top and you’re in cozy fitness town.

When it comes to knits, this sweater looks so chic, I can’t believe the price.  This cardigan layered on top would be a classic and polished outfit that will not steer you astray.  This funnel neck sweater is so cute and also has a great color lineup – a fun color like dark red, tobacco brown or green.  Honestly I love them all.

For the guys, I want to get Christian a pair of these joggers – again, so many colors.  Loving this puffer for the outdoorsy guy and this sherpa lined denim jacket for the more stylish guy.  Lastly, this luggage is a great grab and I love that it comes in multiple sizes.

Some of my favorite things to buy at Shopbop are quality denim, shoes and accessories (especially these bags, I have two!).

I bought these boots last year and wore them so much that I bought them in another color this year.  I’ve had these boots for several years now and I think they always make my legs look longer.  They also look great with jeans!  And these heels are my GO-TO favorites.  I want the gold as well.

I’ve seen this fringe coat a few times online and it’s so beautiful, I think it would also look super chic belted.  I’ve also seen this sweater (comes in a few colors) on other gals and it always makes me want it.  A piece you’ll wear every fall and winter for sure.

I have these denim shorts and I love them because they’re a little bit longer than your usual shorts (run TTS).  I also have these eggshell jeans and these classic Levi’s and really love both.

I recently bought two pairs of Keds for Hudson and they’re just so classic and cute. I love the bright red!

I think this dollhouse and theater tent are pretty much as cute as they come.  We also have and love this suction plate and keep it in Hudson’s diaper bag when we travel or go to restaurants.  I bought this Yeti tumbler for him after seeing a friend’s kids use them all of the time.  We also have and love this snack cup.

Found this cute little vest for Hudson recently and bought it.  He LOVES a vest.  We also love these pants – they’re super soft on the inside.  Two of these little wiggle bikes will be waiting for Hudson on his birthday, and this (working!) Dyson mini vacuum is waiting for him for Christmas.

We have these jenga blocks and use them for jenga, building things, stacking, making long domino-style lines, you name it.  My nephews loved them so much they had to get their own set after visiting us.  A hit for a wide range of ages!
